Cookies
Cookie, local-storage, and tracking policy for DossierCFO.
Cookies
Last updated: 9 June 2026. Effective date: 9 June 2026.
DossierCFO uses cookies and browser storage only where needed for controlled B2B access, protected upload, language/theme preferences, security, and workflow continuity. DossierCFO does not use non-essential marketing trackers or a public cookie-management platform.
Technologies used now
| Technology | Purpose | Consent |
| ------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------- |
| Authentication cookies | Session, secure access, email verification, and protected routes | Necessary |
| Better Auth browser storage fallback | Client-side route guard continuity where cookies are unavailable to the SPA | Necessary |
| Local storage | Language and theme preference | Necessary preference |
| Session storage and IndexedDB-backed file handles | Temporary landing-page file handoff before sign-in | Necessary for requested upload workflow |
| Sanitized in-app analytics events | Product reliability events pushed to the browser `dataLayer` when present, without raw IDs or document content | No external tracker is enabled by default |
Before sign-in
Files selected from the landing page may remain in the browser session so protected upload can resume after authentication. They are not uploaded to the server before sign-in. Closing the tab, clearing browser storage, or browser privacy controls can require reselecting files.
After sign-in
Authenticated cookies and sessions protect app, upload, report, settings, and evidence-link surfaces. Allowed analytics events must be privacy-preserving and must not include raw file names, email addresses, tax IDs, VAT IDs, IBANs, raw document text, or document content.
Marketing and tracking
External marketing tracking, profiling, remarketing, advertising pixels, non-essential analytics, or third-party campaign cookies must remain disabled unless Focus Digital first updates this Cookie page and the Privacy notice, completes privacy review, and implements a valid consent path where required.
DossierCFO does not use cookie walls. Consent is not inferred from scrolling, inactivity, pre-ticked boxes, or designs that make refusal harder than acceptance.
Browser controls
Users can block or delete cookies through browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies or storage can prevent sign-in, protected uploads, language/theme preference, account settings, or evidence-request links from working.
Changes
If cookies, storage technologies, providers, or purposes materially change, Focus Digital will update this page and, where required, request consent before using non-essential cookies.
Cookie and privacy questions can be sent to info@focus-digital.it with subject prefix Privacy.
